Polyglot Institute (1975)
Established in 1975, Polyglot Institute is one of the oldest and largest general training institutes in the region. It operates from multiple locations in Muscat and has expanded into other governorates of the Sultanate.
Its programmes span languages and teacher training, IT studies, university and higher-education pathways, professional qualifications, career development and workplace safety training — delivered both in person and online, with internationally recognised accreditation and examinations. Its safety training is aligned to the relevant international standards and training regulations.
Fifty years of building accredited course material, examining candidates and running a training operation is the foundation PolyMed’s healthcare training programmes are built on.
Polyglot Technologies (2013)
Founded in 2013, Polyglot Technologies LLC is the technology arm of Polyglot Group, based at the group’s corporate office in Wattayah, Muscat. Its work covers access control, software solutions, governance and risk compliance, data analytics, web development, cyber security and consultancy — alongside professional secondment services, placing technical specialists directly into client organisations across the Sultanate.
That secondment practice is where PolyMed’s workforce division comes from. It is not a new line of business; it is an established capability applied to healthcare.
PolyMed (healthcare)
PolyMed is the group’s healthcare arm.
It supplies and registers certified medical devices, disposables, instruments and laboratory products across Oman, designs and assembles the PolyMed Health Kiosk locally, and delivers healthcare training and technical staffing drawing on the group’s training and secondment capability.
What PolyMed inherits
What this means for our customers
Training that is genuinely accredited. Applications training on a device is one thing. A structured, examined, certificated programme is another, and it requires an accreditation and examination infrastructure that takes years to build. Ours already exists.
Staffing that is not improvised. Recruitment, screening, credential verification, mobilisation and supervision have been running inside this group since 2013. Healthcare is a new sector for that practice, not a new practice.
Technology that is ours, not a reseller’s. The group builds and integrates systems. That is why the PolyMed Health Kiosk exists as a product we design and assemble rather than an imported unit with a local invoice attached.
Local content and Omanisation with substance. A fifty-year Omani training institute and an Omani-registered technology company give In-Country Value and Omanisation commitments something real to stand on.
